The SMS code is not part of a routine sign-in. It belongs to registration and to recovery, so if a page is asking you for one during an ordinary login, look hard at what page you are actually on.

One habit worth forming on day one. Switch on two-factor authentication the first time you get in. It costs a few seconds per login and it is the difference between a stolen password being an inconvenience and being a lost balance.

Can I change my username later?

Usernames are fixed once the account exists, because transaction records and support history are tied to them. Pick something you will still recognise in a year.
