4D Bets Explained: Big, Small, Box, iBox and Roll

The basics

Four Digits, Several Ways to Bet

A 4D bet picks a four-digit number from 0000 to 9999 and pays if it matches the numbers drawn. What changes from one bet type to another is which prizes your number can win, and how many arrangements of it you cover. Prize amounts are set by the operator and shown when you place the bet; this guide covers the mechanics. If the reels and live tables interest you more, our list of popular games at M2 is the better starting point.

Big and small

Big and Small

BetWins on
Big1st, 2nd and 3rd prize, plus the ten starter and ten consolation numbers
Small1st, 2nd and 3rd prize only

Big covers more numbers, so it wins more often and pays less per prize; small covers only the top three and pays more when it lands. Both use the same four digits.

Permutations

Box and iBox

A box covers every arrangement of your four digits as separate bets, so it costs one bet for each arrangement. An iBox covers the same arrangements for the price of a single bet, and divides the prize by the number of arrangements instead.

Your digitsArrangements covered
All four different, like 123424
One pair, like 112312
Two pairs, like 11226
Three the same, like 11124

So RM1 on a box of 1234 costs RM24, while RM1 on an iBox of 1234 costs RM1 and pays one twenty-fourth of the prize for whichever arrangement is drawn.

Roll

Roll Bets

A roll replaces one digit with every value from 0 to 9, so a single entry covers ten numbers: roll the first digit of 234 and you hold 0234 through 9234. It costs ten bets, and one of the ten numbers has to be drawn for it to win.

Before you bet

Before a Draw

A 4D entry is placed from your account balance, so the M2 register form comes first if you have not joined yet. Entries close ahead of the draw rather than at it, and results settle to your balance once they are published. Past results make no number more or less likely to come up. Where 4D sits among the other products is covered in the sport and 4D overview on the M2 Casino homepage, and it is worth setting a deposit limit before a draw night.

Questions

4D — Quick Answers

What is the difference between big and small in 4D?

Big wins if your number matches any of the 23 prize numbers — first, second and third plus the ten starters and ten consolations. Small only wins on the top three, and pays more for them.

What is the difference between box and iBox?

A box covers every arrangement of your digits as separate bets and costs one bet per arrangement. An iBox covers them all for one bet and divides the prize by the number of arrangements.

How many numbers does a 4D roll cover?

Ten. One digit runs from 0 to 9 while the other three stay fixed, and the roll costs ten bets.
